The Tour Is Growing - And So Is the Website

As we close the book on an incredible 2026 VGA Pro Tour season and turn our attention toward the Founder's Cup and 2027, there has been a tremendous amount of work happening behind the scenes.

Over the past several weeks, the VGA Pro Tour website has undergone one of its largest upgrades yet. These changes are about more than giving the site a new look. We are building the infrastructure needed to track players, tournaments, rankings, statistics, awards and eventually the full history of the VGA Pro Tour.

Here is what is new - and what is still coming.

🌎 NEW VGA WORLD RANKINGS

One of the biggest additions is the new VGA World Rankings. https://www.vgaprotour.com/vga-world-rankings

Unlike the XPhACTOR Cup, which measures performance during the current season, the World Rankings are designed to reward sustained performance from year to year.

Beginning with our new ranking system:

World Ranking Points = Current Season Cup Points + 50% of Previous Season Cup Points with Major Tournament weighting

The latest player handicap serves as the final competitive tiebreaker when necessary.

Because 2026 is our clean statistical baseline for the new system, this year's World Rankings are driven by 2026 results. Beginning in 2027, the previous-season component will come fully into play.

The page includes player search, Tour filtering, World Ranking position, current XPhACTOR Cup position and points, lifetime earnings tracking, player location and direct links to individual player profiles.

And the new system already has its first season-ending World #1:

Grant Fraser.

🏆 XPhACTOR CUP STANDINGS - NOW ON THE SAME PAGE

Players can now switch between VGA World Rankings and Current XPhACTOR Cup Standings without leaving the page.

The same player cards are reused, but the ranking changes to reflect the selected system, with a visual change to make it immediately clear which standings are being viewed.

The Tour filter also allows the page to be used for different player classifications without requiring separate standings pages.

This gives us the foundation for one central rankings hub going forward.

📅 COMPLETELY REBUILT VGA TOUR SCHEDULE

The VGA Pro Tour Schedule has also received a major overhaul.

Instead of being a simple list of tournaments, the new schedule is becoming the central location for following the season.

The page now features the upcoming event at the top and provides information including tournament dates, course, event type, tournament notes, registration status, special-event designations, XPhACTOR Cup points and completed tournament winners/results.

Players can filter the schedule by season and event view, while completed events remain part of the season history.

The Top 16 players in the World Rankings will make up the Founder's Cup field for Team USA vs. Team World.

👤 ACTIVE PLAYERS DIRECTORY UPGRADE

The VGA Players Directory has evolved into much more than a list of names.

Player cards can now include:

• World Ranking

• Tour Classification

• Player Status

• Eligibility

• Country Flag

• Golf+ Ball

• Headset

• Golf Bag

• VTGL Team

• Team Uniform

Players can be searched alphabetically or by name and filtered by Pro Tour, D-Tour, VTGL and exemption status.

We have also improved the underlying logic that determines whether a golfer currently holds a Pro Tour or D-Tour card rather than relying exclusively on older participation fields.

The newest addition is Golf Bag imagery, giving us another way to personalize each golfer's Tour identity.

📸 PLAYER REGISTRATION & PROFILE SYSTEM

Work has also been underway on a much more complete player-registration system.

Players will have VGA records connected to their account instead of registration functioning as a disconnected form.

Player information can include their Golf+ identity, real player photograph, VGA golfer image, notification email and other profile information.

Registration status is also being expanded so the system can distinguish between:

REGISTERED: TEAM GOLF LEAGUE

REGISTERED: PRO TOUR & TEAM GOLF LEAGUE

This becomes increasingly important as VGA expands beyond a single Tour format.

📊 PLAYER STATISTICS & XPhACTOR ANALYTICS

A major part of the website rebuild has been creating the foundation for much deeper player statistics.

Our new season-statistics system is capable of tracking considerably more than scores and wins.

That includes areas such as scoring average, fairways, greens in regulation, scrambling, putting, Strokes Gained categories, consistency, closing performance, player form and other XPhACTOR performance metrics.

We are building toward XPhACTOR VGA Analytics, where the goal is for a player's VGA profile to become a genuine statistical record of their career.

The eventual system can support Player Statistics, Tour Leaders, performance trends, tournament and course records, player comparisons, historical statistics and advanced statistical leaderboards.

This is one of the largest projects still under development for 2027.

💰 MONEY MONTH - COMING IN 2027

The backend and website infrastructure for Money Month has also been under construction.

Beginning with the 2027 season, players will compete for Money Points during each Money Month period, with a minimum $100 monthly purse.

The Money Month website system is being designed to track monthly leaders, tournament results, players above and below the Money Line, projected payouts and finalized monthly winners.

Lifetime VGA earnings have also been incorporated into the new player/rankings architecture. They correctly remain at $0 until Money Month officially begins.

Once real payouts begin, those earnings will become part of each player's permanent VGA record.

🏌️ TOURNAMENT STANDINGS & EVENT ENTRY

Tournament administration has received significant upgrades as well.

The former Current Tournament concept has been moving toward a dedicated Tournament Standings system, while tournament registration is being separated into a proper Event Entry experience.

Behind the scenes, our tournament system is being built around structured tournament entries, rounds, schedules, tee-time groups, standings and finalized results.

That gives VGA a much stronger foundation for registration, tee-time scheduling, score validation, leaderboards and eventually historical tournament records.

👥 VGA + TEAM GOLF

The website architecture is also being prepared for the continued expansion of Team Golf.

VGA player records can now be connected to their VTGL team, team logo and team uniform, allowing a player's individual Tour identity and Team Golf identity to exist together.

That is already visible in the upgraded Players Directory and will become increasingly important as Team Golf expands.

The next major page we're beginning is the VGA Season Awards.

Rather than simply posting a list of winners, the new awards system will connect directly to our player and statistical databases.

That opens the door to awards such as:

• Tournament Wins Leader

• Putting Champion

• Ball-Striking Awards

• Short-Game Awards

• Most Consistent Player

Some awards can be determined automatically from season statistics, while others can remain selected VGA honors.

📈 XPhACTOR VGA Analytics 1.0

This is one of our largest remaining projects.

The goal is to eventually give players access to a much deeper statistical picture of their VGA careers, including career and season statistics, Tour statistical leaders, performance trends, advanced Strokes Gained analysis, qualification tracking, course and tournament records, historical results, player comparisons and more.

Future development can take this even further with hole-by-hole analytics, course splits, pressure/clutch statistics, progression graphs and automated performance insights.

🗃️ Building the VGA Historical Record

2026 represents an important transition point.

Rather than spending significant development time trying to reconstruct every piece of incomplete legacy data, 2026 is becoming the clean baseline for the next generation of VGA statistics and rankings.

Going forward, each completed season will feed the next.

That means today's tournament results aren't simply disappearing when the next tournament starts. They are becoming part of a player's permanent VGA history.

A lot of these changes may look like new pages and graphics on the surface, but the bigger change is underneath.

We are moving toward a connected VGA platform where:

Players connect to profiles.

Profiles connect to rounds.

Rounds create statistics.

Tournament results create Cup points.

Cup points create rankings.

Statistics create awards.

Money Month creates career earnings.

And each season becomes part of VGA history.

There is still work to do, and you will continue to see pages and features evolve as we prepare for 2027.

But the goal remains simple:
