VGA PRO TOUR
You meet the VGA Pro Tour handicap requirement. Players with a verified Golf+ handicap of 10.0 or better compete exclusively on the VGA Pro Tour.
VGA D-TOUR
You meet the VGA D-Tour handicap requirement. Players from 10.1 through 20.0 compete exclusively on the D-Tour, VGA's developmental pathway to the Pro Tour.

The VGA D-Tour requires a handicap of 20.0 or better. Keep working on your game, once you reach 20.0, your road to the VGA Tour begins.

The VGA D-Tour is the developmental circuit of the Virtual Golf Association and the pathway to becoming a VGA Pro Tour player.

Tournament victories can earn limited starts against Pro Tour competition.

The VGA Pro Tour is reserved for players who have reached the VGA's highest handicap standard or have earned protected status through an approved exemption.

YOUR TOUR CARD
Beginning in 2027, eligible VGA golfers will hold a Tour Card reflecting their current competitive classification.
There is no normal crossover between Tours. A Pro Tour player cannot enter D-Tour events, and a D-Tour player cannot enter Pro Tour events unless that player holds a valid exemption.

A D-Tour player's handicap determines their Tour classification - but exceptional tournament performance can earn opportunities to compete against the VGA Pro Tour.

The player remains officially classified as a D-Tour player until reaching a 10.0 handicap or earning Battlefield Promotion.

A D-Tour player who competes in a VGA Pro Tour tournament on an earned exemption and wins the tournament receives immediate Battlefield Promotion.

PRO TOUR STATUS — REMAINDER OF SEASON
Battlefield Promotion is one of the few competitive achievements that can temporarily override normal handicap classification. It must be earned by winning against the Pro Tour field.

AN EXEMPTION IS NOT A TOUR CARD
Unless specifically stated otherwise, an exemption gives a player permission to enter a designated competition. It does not permanently change the player's official Tour classification.
RESTRICTED EVENTS
NOT EVERY EVENT ACCEPTS EXEMPTIONS
VGA tournaments may establish additional qualification requirements. An exemption that provides access to regular-season Pro Tour events does not automatically qualify a player for restricted championships.

OFFICIAL ELIGIBILITY RULES
VGA Tour classification is based on a player's verified Golf+ handicap. Handicap eligibility may be verified at season registration, Tour registration, tournament registration, or other designated eligibility checkpoints.
Tournament eligibility will be determined at the published eligibility lock for that event. A subsequent handicap change does not retroactively alter eligibility for an event that has already been locked.
VGA reserves the right to verify player eligibility, revoke improperly obtained exemptions, and establish additional qualification criteria for designated championships, invitationals and special events.
