

VGA Tour Official Rulebook

Section 1.0 – Purpose and Scope
The VGA Tour is a competitive VR golf league built on the principles of integrity, respect, fair competition, and immersive realism. All players are expected to uphold the spirit of the game while competing in an environment that mirrors the professionalism and standards of real-world golf.
Section 2.0 – Gameplay Rules
2.1 Equipment & Setup

Players must use approved VR hardware (currently no exclusions) and play within the Golf+ game on Meta Quest.

Stable internet connection and headset battery charge are player responsibilities.

If a technical issue causes a disconnect, players may be permitted a one-time reconnection attempt, provided the group agrees and the round has not been completed.
2.2 Game Settings
-
All tournaments will use official VGA settings (difficulty, wind, green speed, etc.) provided prior to each event.

Players may not alter settings in tournament play.
2.3 Dress Code
-
All avatars must be dressed in golf-appropriate attire when participating in official tour events.

No costume outfits, joke skins, or casualwear allowed. Failure to follow dress code may result in disqualification from the round.
2.4 Tournament Group Play
-
All tournament rounds must be played in a group setting, never solo.

Players must play with the group they are assigned at the official scheduled tee time.
Section 3.0 – Tee Time & Round Start Policies
3.1 Scheduled Tee Times
-
Rounds must be played at the scheduled time listed on the official tee sheet (Current Event page).

It is the player's responsibility to know their time and be ready to play.
3.2 Pre-Round Arrival
-
Players should arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled tee time.
-
Groups are expected to tee off at or within 5 minutes of the posted time.
3.3 Late Arrival Penalties
-
1–5 minutes late: 2-stroke penalty.
-
More than 5 minutes late: Disqualification, unless a valid reason is accepted.

Valid reasons (e.g., technical failure, emergency) must be messaged to the Commissioner immediately.
3.4 Round Validity – Timestamp Rule
-
Rounds must be completed and timestamped within 1 hour of the scheduled start time to be valid.

Failure to meet this requirement may result in a disqualification or require replay of the round by ALL PLAYERS.
3.5 Reassignment of Tee Time
-
If a valid reason is provided for tardiness, the Commissioner may reassign the player to a different tee time only if slots are available.
Section 4.0 – Integrity, Restarts & Quitting
4.1 Restarts

Restarts are strictly prohibited.
-
If a group restarts for any reason, all players in that group will be disqualified.
-
This includes disconnecting to replay or redoing holes.
4.2 Quitting

Players who quit (this includes internet issues or battery dying) mid-round without valid cause may face the following:

First offense: warning or disqualification

Second offense: round disqualification and 100-point Dubby Cup deduction

Third offense: suspension or ban from the league

Section 5.0 – Conduct & Sportsmanship
5.1 Respectful Behavior

Players must treat all competitors and staff with respect.
-
No harassment, hate speech, or excessive trash talk will be tolerated.
-
Players who violate this policy may be immediately suspended or banned.
5.2 In-Round Etiquette
-
Avoid unnecessary delays, distractions, or background noise during rounds.
-
Do not intentionally disrupt another player’s shot or gameplay.

5.3 Reporting Issues
-
Any rules concerns or behavior violations must be reported to the Commissioner or League Official through the Support Portal or Discord immediately following the round.
Section 6.0 – Eligibility & Tour Card Retention
6.1 Maintaining Tour Card

Players must:
-
Participate in at least one tournament per season
-
Remain ranked in the top 30 in Dubby Cup points
-

Players failing to meet these requirements will be sent to Q-School to requalify for the next season.
6.2 Multiple Accounts
-
Each player may only compete using one official Quest ID.
-
Use of alternate accounts will result in disqualification and ban from the league.
