We’re making major moves to tighten competition, streamline operations, and build a professional VR golf league that’s respected and ready for big-time growth. Here’s what’s ahead for the 2026 VGA Pro Tour season:

🔢 Tour Separation Based on Handicap

• Players with a handicap of 10.00 or lower will compete on the Pro Tour

• Players with a handicap of 10.01 or higher will compete on the D-Tour

📝 You’re placed on your tour at the beginning of the season based on your handicap at that time — Season, not the calendar year. This may shift again in the future if the league continues to grow.

🏆 PWTP Only for the Pros (Just Like the Real Tour)

The VGA Tour will exclusively host Play With The Pros (PWTP) tournaments — meaning we’ll only hold tournaments when the PGA Tour plays on a course featured in Golf+. If the pros aren’t playing a GOLF+ course that week, neither are we — because…

💥 That’s Team Golf Time!

Weeks without PWTP events will focus entirely on the Virtual Team Golf League (VTG) — team vs team action where commitment, chemistry, and strategy matter.

• If you don’t show up to your tournament tee times, you will be removed from the league

• We’re done waiting around. This is a competitive esports league, and we’re going all-in with the players who are here to play and ready to commit

• Eligibility enforcement starts NOW – Make sure your profile info and player photo are clean, accurate, and professional

🎯 Why? Because we’re working hard to attract sponsors and bring real prizes and cash rewards to the tour. And that means every player represents the league.

We’re transitioning all core league communication to Meta Quest. Here's what to do:

⛳ Team Golf League Expectations

If you sign up, you are committing to play — fully, and on time.

• Be ready for the full 2-hour window (if necessary)

• Show up early to the meetup

• Missed or late? A reserve will take your spot — permanently or until you’re needed as an alternate

• Don’t negatively affect your team. Don’t waste your captain’s time. Respect the league and your fellow players.
